A prayer against the cold

Holy God,

as the coldness of winter seeps around us,

warm our hearts to one other.

As the darkening days chip away at the daylight,

brighten our spirits that we may be a light in the darkness.

As the chilly winds beat against us,

give us shelter in the eternal hope of your loving grace.

Let us be warmth, light, love in the world around us

that others may find your comfort and peace through us.
