A prayer for rest

In the midst of a chaotic world, O God,

help us to find a moment to breath.

In the midst of tensions, O God,

help us find peace.

In the midst of busy schedules, O God,

help us find rest.

In the midst of to dos and get dones, have tos and must dos,

help us to slow down enough to find your glory in the middle of it all,

for you are our creator, sustainer, and redeemer.

Help us remember that we are all in your hands

and may we rest in that knowledge.

In the midst of life, O God,

touch us into your grace and grant us your peace.
