finishing the school year

The end is in sight.

While we find ourselves in the midst of testing these few weeks, the end of the school year is in sight.

This has been a school year like no other before it. And we are almost at the finish line.

We have made the best of bad situation. We have tried to find joy in the midst of chaos. We have figured out new ways to do old things. We have schooled from home, hybrid and full time. We have completed a year were we have had had to be employee, parent and teacher all at the same time from the same spot and summer is at long last on the horizon.

Friends, we can do it! We can and we will make it through this last push!

A prayer for these days:

Holy God,

as we bring this crazy school year to an end

may we give thanks that we have made it this far.

May we find joy in seeing all that we have overcome this year.

May we take pride in the fact that we did your best.

May we have confidence in the knowledge that our best was good enough.

Now let us take a few deep breathes of grace as we muster the energy to face these last few weeks.

May we march into summer with the hope of peace, joy and happiness as we close this school year behind us.

Let there be rest for the weary and peace for all.
