Prayer for peace

God of all,

War is at hand in the Ukraine and Russia,

War is looming for all,

Fear is upon us.

May your compassion, courage and hope surround the people of the Ukraine.

May the hearts and prayers of the world that is watching and waiting be turned towards those suffering the most.

May our fears be turned into compassion.

You call us to ways of peace, and yet the sin of the world divides, and war is at hand yet again.

There are no good options for those who stand and watch.

Be with the leaders around the world who do not know what actions to take,

give them wisdom, direction and insight into ways forward.

Help our nations to rally together for the good of all people.

Show them new ways forward that work toward peace and wholeness for all.

War is never the way forward.

Guide those in leadership to quell the pains of the people.

You are a compassionate God.

Surround you people.

Move us towards peace.
