Prayer for today

Each morning we rise, O God.

You place breath within us,

help us be thankful for this day.

We rise to face the day before and all that will come our way.

Give us strength for the journey.

Give us hope in what is to come.

Grant us wisdom to face each challenge,

and grace with ourselves at the end of the day.
