winter prayer

Holy God,

in the stillness of the cold,

in the hush of the dusty snow,

in the chill of the wind,

Surround us with your love,

fill us with your warmth,

shine down your light upon us.

In the darkness of winter storms,

grant us your peace,

inflame our hope,

stoke our joy

that we may dance in the delight of your mercy.
