New Year

Holy God,

another year falls behind us,

a new year lies ahead,

and still your love stands steadfast with us.

As we step into the new year

may we sink into your comfort,

trusting in your guiding light

and finding courage in our hope in you.

May we draw ever nearer to you

as we walk into the uncertainty of the future.

May we come to know you more deeply this year

and cling more tightly to the truths you have given to us.

May we be more devoted and faithful to your calling

to love you and to love our neighbors in all that we do.

Give us courage.

Give us hope.

Give us peace.
