Rainbows

Holy God,

we cling to you even in the midst of the darkest storm,

for we know that you are a God not of storm but of rainbows.

We face angst and peril,

fear and doubt,

and yet we trust that you are there, going before us.

You, who knew us before we were born.

You, who has laid a path before us.

You who loved us enough to suffer with us.

We know beyond a shadow of doubt that the rainbows will come.

Help us not to miss them!

Help us to linger in their delight.

Helps to savor each moment when the rainbow comes.
