God,

This season we have entered into, the Advent season-the season of waiting and hoping, takes on a new meaning in this year of trial and tribulation.

In these dark days, when the numbers of sick and dying people grow by the minute, as fear and worry grow, as isolation and separation cause more havoc on our souls, draw nearer O God. Shine brighter in our hearts.

Through THIS season of waiting and hoping touch us anew; to give us strength, to give us courage, to give us hope.

Help us to trust in your promised word, that you will come again! and in that promise may we find all that we need to face this time.

Help us cling to you as we wait with great anticipation!
